Genmaicha
The chaos of this week has been legendary. Nearly every day has included a report for executive management justifying costs, justifying staff, and even in one case justifying a project to justify a bigger project. Way too much corporate nuttiness for 7 consecutive days or so.

Last night I finally threw in the towel, in a way, and decided it was time to coddle myself a bit. I stopped at a "natural market" on the way home from work (a local hippie haven of sorts, but a cool place, nonetheless), and among other things picked up a box of Genmaicha tea to bring to work.

The box sat on my desk all day long today. Eventually, when everything was starting to calm down a bit around 4:30, I made up a cup of my tea. As the tea steeped, I lay on the floor under my desk for a quick 5 minute power nap, and when I was adequately relaxed, I sat up, put on my headphones to John Cage's "In a Landscape," sipped my tea, and just sort of mentally defragmented.

I'm not even sure I still need the nap after work I had planned on earlier.
