More Packing Nostalgia
I've been putting it off, but the time has come — today is Clothes Packing Day. (Check your calendar — I'm sure it's on there).
I have a lot of t-shirts. I no longer work in the kind of occupations which allow t-shirts, though, so they're mainly a lounge around the house kind of thing. This has a couple of side effects. 1) My T-shirt collection has evolved into something vastly disproportionate to its relative wardrobe functionality. But 2) my t-shirts now last a very long time. Evidenced by the fact that I've found several shirts which go all the way back to high school:
My Moscow University shirt. This is the one I nearly got beat up by a redneck for accidentally wearing on July 4th in college. I thought Mary still had this one, for some reason, but found it in my closet just now. A really horrid Front 242 shirt. I don't know why I still keep it — I never wear it — but it just seems cool to have. The Cure "Lovesong" single shirt. This poor shirt is now worn paper thin, with some small holes in the back, and I reserve it only for special occasions, usually worn over another shirt. I wonder if there's a replacement I could order anywhere (I bought a Boys Don't Cry shirt relatively recently, for example). A rainbow colored tie-dye T-shirt which is one of several that Deandra, her friend Aryn, and I made together. Sentimental value notwithstanding, I know for a fact that I will never wear this again (it's very faded, and too small, so not really even good costume wear), so it's going into the Goodwill pile. So long, tie-dye shirt. A black shirt with a Zen Buddhist haiku written in white calligraphy on the front. It's a beautiful shirt, but so faded it looks dark gray. This is another one I should see if I can find a replacement for.
I think that's all. I'm curious what I'll turn up next.

L2: I found out his oven doesn't broil
L2: also low apparently is the same thing as high
L2: but oh well
Matt: whose oven doesn't broil?!? (that was a rhetorical question)
L2: the little oven in his studio
L2: he has a little tiny oven and little tiny sink made for elves or something
Matt: is it a convection oven or something?
L2: it's a bake brownies in type of oven with the coils
L2: and a little tiny toaster oven
L2: it's hilarious
L2: it's like an easy bake oven
Matt: "well, I was going to make you a brownie for dessert, but then my light bulb burned out"
L2: seriously!
L2: LOL
