Ho Ho Ho
I walked outside first thing this morning to find snow falling. They were tiny little snowflakes, and the whole ordeal seemed a little more sleet-like, and I'm sure people would argue with me, but when viewed under the illumination of the bright street lights, there was definitely some drifting about going on.
The effect was supplemented when I looked up to see a giant Christmas tree mounted on top of the Harbour Centre tower, and then when I looked to see a Yellow Cab piloted by Santa Claus himself. Guess even the Big Guy has to earn an extra buck here or there.
I'm headed to Seattle to meet Lee and Barb this Saturday, and, frankly, now I'm a little worried after some horror stories about border crossings that people at work told me, but I think it should be okay.

Another reason for festivities is that when I got home from work tonight, I found that my landlord had left me a bottle of wine and two wineglasses, and a note that says "Welcome to Vancouver!" I've never been welcomed by a landlord before.
This, of course, is after having left the rent check in the refrigerator, per his instructions, so that when he came by to check the serial number of the fridge he wouldn't forget the check.
I'm lucky to be renting from a guy this cool, but it's kind of like the absent minded professor sometimes.

Lastly, today was the day the new iTunes Music Store opened, now including [drumroll] service to Canada! I was amused that the front page was filled to bursting with links to music by Alanis Morissette, Sarah MacLachlan, The Tragically Hip, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, and about 15 other Canadian musicians.
The best part: the prices are the same as in the American store, so it's like everything is on sale.
Good things.
