Estamos en Vancouver
In addition to a long walk around town taking pictures, enjoying the sunny day, and exploring some parts of town I don't know very well, I took the 98 B-Line bus down Granville St to visit a friend.

The bus was packed, including a group of four Chinese teenagers, who I almost think were having a conversation strictly for my beginner's Chinese benefit:

"I like your jacket."
"Thanks."
"How much money was it?"
"Four dollars."
"It was not four dollars."
"It was four dollars. Truly."
"That's cheap."
"I know."
"I like it."
"Thanks."

They then went on to ask each other if they knew various people at school, and people were answering yes or no.

I'm almost certain I had this conversation during my class in Beijing, when we were roleplaying various things to say.

While all the Chinese eavesdropping was going on, I also noticed a woman asleep near me, and written on the back of her hand, in magic marker, was "ESTAMOS EN VANCOUVER!" Yes, we are indeed here.

Oddly enough, when I got back on the Northbound 98 to head toward home, the same woman was on this bus as well, again in a seat not far from me, and only slightly more awake, and her hand was still announcing "ESTAMOS EN VANCOUVER!"

We are here. We are still here. We will be here tomorrow.
