Look both ways
The street on my block was barricaded from end to end tonight.
The reason? A pedestrian was hit by a car, smashing in the car's windshield. Officers a the scene were scouring the intersection, looking for physical and biological evidence, taking photographs, and examining the car's position and condition.
I don't know if the pedestrian survived the accident; the RCMP on the scene declined to go into that much detail.
A good reminder of the childhood litany: look both ways before crossing the street, look both ways before crossing the street, look both ways. . . .
