Coworker 2: [on a conference call] How is snowy Edmonton?
Coworker 1: Actually I'm in Vancouver this week.
Coworker 2: How's Vancouver, then?
Coworker 1: Rainy and drab as usual. I think I prefer snowy Edmonton.
[Immediately the pouring rain instantaneously transforms into a cloud of blowing snow. A long pause.]
Several: Wow.
Coworker 1: Yeah. I guess I'd better be careful what I wish for.
Coworker 3: Well . . . you can't accuse us of not making sure you feel at home here. . . .

I: Happy International Women's Day!
She: Thank you!
I: You're welcome.
She: I'd wish you a happy International Men's Day, but they haven't managed to settle on a date yet.
I: Typical of us men, isn't it.
