Coloniştii din Catan
A pleasant surprise while we were in a nice bookstore in the big mall in Cluj: unlike the Monopoly, Backgammon, and Chutes & Ladders (Sus şi Jos – "Up & Down") board game selection in most toy shops, this one carried:

  • Ticket to Ride: Europe
  • Colosseum
  • Pirate's Cove

  • . . . and, most excitingly:

  • Coloniştii din Catan!

  • That's right, an official Romanian edition of Settlers. At over $40CAD, we felt like it probably wasn't worth the cost, just to have a novelty edition of the game, nor the trouble of lugging it all the way home, but it was exiting nonetheless.
