Travel Update
We were relieved that the luggage turned up. The two bags lost in Calgary were delivered early Sunday morning (around 9:01am, pushing the bounds of their 9am-noon delivery window they'd promised), and my bag, after a number of phone calls back and forth, finally arrived at the house at 11:58pm on Tuesday night (pushing the bounds the other direction on their 8pm-midnight commitment).

Unfortunately, the latter bag was a little worse for wear, with several breakables smashed to bits inside.

O spent an hour of the evening last night with a tube of porcelain cement reconstructing one of the little handpainted Romanian pots out of its 30 or so little shards ("It's like being an archaeologist!"), and I had to admit the end result was pretty impressive, but still no longer gift appropriate, so we're considering several replacement-gift options for that family member.

My plans to spend a couple of hours each evening going through photos and uploading them to Flick have been thwarted by the pretty awful cold I presumably caught on the plane back home, which have left me in mood to do little more than eat dinner, watch a little of a movie, and go to bed each night after work. It seems to be mostly gone this morning, so maybe I can get back to business. Our home was also a little bit of a disaster area after the combination of Christmas carnage and trip packing, and I feel a little more like creative endeavours now that the gift wrap, Christmas tree, and little boxes and bags are neatly packed away.
