24 Hours
This morning I thought I recognized the guy handing out 24 Hours newspapers on my corner.
My reaction surprised me. I looked at him with shame and disgust. "How could you stoop to this?" I thought.
When the papers first launched, I thought the handout people were an introductory gimmick — a way of catching people's attention, but now they've become one more creature to evade quietly with downturned eyes, in hopes they don't talk to me or want anything.
